Karen Mendez, MSN, FNP-C earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Kennesaw State University and brings eight years of clinical experience at Piedmont Newton. She is passionate about delivering comprehensive, culturally competent care and is beginning her journey as a Nurse Practitioner with a focus in gastroenterology. Karen enjoys connecting with patients through education and compassion and is committed to continuous growth in her new role. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, outdoor activities and exploring new places. She is a member of the Christian Medical & Dental Association and has served on an international medical mission, which deepened her passion for service through healthcare. Karen is also fluent in Spanish.
